Kelly & Ben’s 1774 Inn Wedding | Phippsburg, Maine
If you are looking to host your dream wedding in Maine, Kelly and Ben’s day at the 1774 Inn in Phippsburg is precisely the kind of celebration you are thinking of. Set alongside the Kennebec River with expansive coastal views, romance, and a joyful dance floor. With our team, Chris Bouchard guided the vibe; this wedding was on point despite Mother Nature trying to rain us out.
The Venue: Historic Location In Coastal Sagadahoc County, Maine
The 1774 Inn offers quintessential Maine charm with its historic character and perfect coastal surroundings. Kelly and Ben chose it for its understated elegance and the sense of peace that comes with its seaside location. Mother Nature had other plans for the day, and despite the rain, Kelly and Ben held their intimate ceremony outside with clear umbrellas in hand for them and their guests.
Ceremony on the Lawn & Cocktails Inside
Their ceremony took place on the lawn behind The Inn with the Kennebec River views behind Kelly and Ben. The 1774 Inn crew dried the seats, brought out the clear umbrellas, while guests found their seats and celebrated love.
We provided full ceremony audio coverage, ensuring every vow, every tear, every laugh was heard clearly, capturing the emotion of the moment for all present.
Afterward, guests moved indoors for cocktail hour. The barn was full of laughter as the guests enjoyed the passed foods. As the rain let up, guests explored the grounds of The 1774 Inn and continued to hang out on the stone patio until we asked them to come indoors to get the celebration started.
The Party
Inside the Inn, we turned on our dance floor wash that cast a celebratory glow in the center of the barn, turning it into a cozy and elegant dance floor.
Their Soundtrack
After the formalities, Chris Bouchard kicked off the party with an energetic mix of nostalgic hits and modern charts. Kelly and Ben, in their mid-20s, with guests alike, made sing-alongs, and anthems hit perfectly. As the night ended, the entire crew went down to the fire pit and gently enjoyed the rest of the night under the broken clouds from earlier in the day.
